The Summarized Version
Nate and Ben have worked with thousands of new entrepreneurs, teaching them how to start and effectively run online businesses.
You wouldn’t believe some of the day to day issues, questions, and idiosyncrasies we deal with.
One day, Ben came to Nate with a few ideas.
Nate said something like, “We should start a business with that idea…”
And the rest is history.
The Longer Version
I, Nate Moller, grew up on a small farm in rural Idaho.
I’ve been immersed in the world of online marketing and all that goes with it since April of 2005, when I decided to work with a mentor and build my first ecommerce website about new and used clogging shoes.
Little did I know at the time that my life would change on that day.
I’d always wanted to be an entrepreneur.
One of the key components to entrepreneurship is SALES, and since I can remember, I’ve been a salesman:
“One more throw Dad!”
“Wanna buy some oranges for our baseball fundraiser?”
“Mom, I’ll be home at mid-night – COME ON!”
These were a few of my early sales pitches back in the day.
When I started working with my Arizona SEO friend, I had NO IDEA it would take me to the place I’m at now.
So, here I am.
I’ve been doing SEO consulting in-directly since January 2006 as a professional online mentor. I’ve helped thousands of clients build online businesses from the ground up, not only SEO work but all the pre-SEO practices of brainstorming, finding a niche, finding suppliers, setting goals, creating basic business plans, time management strategies, and creative joint ventures.
I don’t think there would be too much I would change if I had to do it all over again.
There have been tough times, times where I’ve been ready to throw in the towel.
There have been amazing “ah-ha” times where I was on cloud nine thinking life couldn’t get much better.
But most of all, my success, or lack thereof, has been based on one simple factor – FOCUS!
When I’m focused on goals, objectives, and I have a clear vision of where I want to go – I get there.
If I’m unclear and unsure, I jump all over the place and never really get anything accomplished.
I’ve realized this concept on multiple occasions throughout my early business life, but it’s funny how it takes a few “trial and error” experiences for it to finally sink it.
One subtle reminder came recently while reading a business magazine. It highlighted successful entrepreneurs in my local area. As I skimmed through the profiles and experience of each business person, I kept seeing the same theme – they all mentioned the importance of FOCUS in their success. Granted, they are entrepreneurs who have new ideas all the time; however, their ticket on the success train came when they finally focused on what they wanted most and then WENT FOR IT full boar!
